When that water gets trapped during crimping, it&amp;rsquo;s basically an open invitation for bacteria to move in or for the powder to spoil way too early.&#xA;To stop that from happening, we use infrared (IR) preheaters to flash-dry the rim right before the can hits the seamer.&lt;/p&gt;</description>
