We built these hot cathode UV germicidal lamps to be the kind you can count on, day after day, inside industrial gear. What it’s made of, and why it matters
The tube is quartz, plain and simple—because it’s clear to UV and can handle sudden temperature swings without flinching. The internal coating is tuned to keep UV-C output consistent, even when the lamp cycles on and off. We went with hot cathode construction to ease the strain on the power supply at ignition and to keep electrode sputtering down over time. And the R7s connector? It’s a two-ended, direct fit. The lamp locks in without wobble, and wiring it up is a straightforward drop-in job.
Where it shines, and what to keep in mind
These lamps are made for setups where fast, localized heat and germicidal UV share the same process window—think conveyorized surface treatment lines and controlled-environment equipment.
